Well, we did it again, another Tour Team Championship. Our Team of Craig Stefureak, Nic Ross, Daniel Knapp and Callum Biehn, won in a big fashion, we beat the 2nd place team by 13 strokes, and Nic Ross once again won the low individual junior boys award.
The 2012 Golden Horseshoe Cup was held on Sunday, September 23rd at Hamilton Golf and Country Club. Our team this year was made up of Victoria Mazzarolo, Kathleen McBarron, Aidan Gavey, Thomas Giroux, Craig Stefureak, Nic Ross, Daniel Knapp, Callum Biehn, Scott Nelson, John Majerovich, Chad Watts-Denyes, and Brandon Freeman. This year’s results were a “first” for both tours, as we ended in a tie with 18 points each. However, we retained the prestigious Golden Horseshoe Cup as, like the Ryder Cup event, there needs to be a clear point advantage to take the Cup from the previous year’s winner. Thanks to all the palyers, volunteers, parents, and hosting course who make this event possible.
