Hamilton, ON - The Hamilton Halton Junior Golf Tour (HHJGT) is pleased to announce its 2015 tournament schedule. The HHJGT celebrates its 32nd season in operation providing local juniors with competitive golf opportunities.
The 2015 season, with the continued support of ClubLink, will feature seven one-day tour stops throughout July and August. The season will begin at Hidden Lake Golf Club on July 2.
"ClubLink has been wonderful to us over the past year and we can't say enough as they have graciously offered seven clubs to us again in 2015. Their courses will offer our players a challenging experience from event to event. The staff at ClubLink facilities were great to the Tour last season and we truly appreciate their generosity,” said Jim Kenesky, President of the Hamilton Halton Junior Golf Tour.
The final tour stop will be held at Blue Springs Golf Club on August 24. Following play, the annual awards banquet will be held to name the respective 2015 HHJGT division champions.
Qualifying Day for all divisions (Junior Boys, Bantam and Girls) will be held on Sunday May 31 at the Chedoke Golf Course - Martin in Hamilton. 17 players (15 Junior Boys, one Bantam, one Junior Girl) have already earned exemptions into the 2015 tour roster as a result of their outstanding 2014 performance.
Returning in the 2015 season is the Pro/Junior Classic hosted by Lowville Golf Club. This unique tournament provides junior golfers with the opportunity to play alongside local professionals. For all young golfers this promises to be an inspiring event.
“I'm certainly excited to see the Pro/Junior Classic back on the schedule. There will be significant changes to the event and we hope to include some special participants. It will be open to all our 2015 members and promises to be a wonderful day for all involved. Full details will come as we head toward the season,” said Kenesky, HHJGT President.
The HHJGT looks forward to providing junior golfers with a memorable 2015 season. Let the countdown to the golf season begin!

The Hamilton/Halton Junior Golf Tour was established in 1984 with the primary goal to create a junior golf championship for the Hamilton/Halton regions, while providing a forum in which junior players, aged 18 and under, could enhance their considerable talents through competition with their peers. The Tour was the first of its kind in Ontario and remains one of the most affordable junior tours in the province.
The Tour provides opportunities for players to make new friends and learn valuable life lessons. Past Champions and Tour players have used their Tour experience to obtain educational and golf scholarships throughout the U.S. and Canada to further pursue their education and golfing careers.
